Hans Schellevis — Conductor & Pianist

Hans Schellevis

Hans Schellevis trained as a pianist at the conservatories of Amsterdam and The Hague. He made his name as an accompanist for both instrumentalists and vocalists, and played recitals across Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway, Great Britain, and the United States. He accompanied masterclasses by, among others, Nelly Miricioiu and Elly Ameling, and made numerous radio and television recordings for Dutch public broadcasters. As repetiteur, he was linked to the NTR ZaterdagMatinee from 2001–2013, and since 2006 has worked as score editor for companies including Opera Rara in London and the NTR ZaterdagMatinee, publishing critical editions of works by Cherubini, Mayr, Gounod, Puccini, Donizetti, Verdi, and Rossini for Bärenreiter and Ricordi.

Hans Schellevis studied orchestral conducting with Denise Ham in Bournemouth, David Parry in London, and Arjan Tien in Hilversum, making the switch to conducting in 2015. Recent engagements include Pelléas et Mélisande and Così fan tutte for Opera Studio Nederland, Il Segreto di Susanna and La Bohème for Nationale Reisopera, and Dido and Aeneas and Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice.

Wouter Munsterman — Pianist

Wouter Munsterman

Wouter Munsterman studied at the conservatory in Enschede with Fred Oldenburg, before continuing at the Messiaen Academy with Marien van Nieukerken, focusing on vocal accompaniment and chamber music. He followed masterclasses with Rudolf Jansen, Konrad Richter, Meinard Kraak, and Breda Zakotnik, and was affiliated with the Mozarteum in Salzburg as assistant repetitor for the vocal department. He has played repetitor for productions of Nationale Reisopera, and was associated with the Dorset Opera Festival and the Orkest van het Oosten.

As a pianist he has performed in numerous song recitals, chamber music concerts, and music theatre productions. Wouter currently works as repetitor and teacher at the ArtEZ Conservatorium.
